For Mom’s birthday when she was 90 on 25 November last year, we held a surprise party, despite her insistance that she didnt want anything fancy 😑

So Denise and Myself got family and friends together for “ a Not a Surprise Party “ because we told her we were going to the Oddfellows for a meal, Mom, Denise and Myself which was absolutely true.

However, what I accidentally on purpose forgot to tell her, was that another 30 people would be joining us 😁

The timing had to be right as we got in the taxi to head for our meal so everyone was in there ready to greet her, thank you everyone of you as it was perfect and as she walked in her face was a memorable picture of complete bewilderment, she said there’s all the kids, there’s so and so, oh and so and so with a smile that I am pleased to remember as happiness and utter pleasure, I knew I was off the hook and she had a wonderful  memorable day. In hindsight now, I am so pleased we had this  “Surprise Party” which she thoroughly enjoyed and told everyone about it, a day to always remember as she was really happy and knew how much she was loved.
